Basant Ahmed Siam Says Her Father Is More Open to Granddaughter Acting

Actress Basant Ahmed Siam has revealed that her father, actor Ahmed Siam, is more accepting of his granddaughter’s interest in acting than he was of hers during childhood.

Basant described a contrast between the way her father approached her early interest in the profession and his attitude toward her daughter, Carmen Youssef.

She said Ahmed Siam no longer objects to his granddaughter entering acting, unlike the opposition she faced from him when she was younger.

Her comments highlight a shift in his stance across generations, with Carmen receiving a more permissive response from her grandfather than Basant did as a child.
