Bigad Salama Highlights Lives of 200 Egyptian Quran Reciters in New Book

Writer and researcher Bigad Salama has highlighted the lives of 200 Egyptian Quran reciters in his book “The Voice of God on Earth: Biographies of 200 Egyptian Reciters Who Served the Book of God.”

The book brings together biographical accounts of Egyptian readers of the Quran, placing the people behind the recitations at the centre of its subject.

Its title frames those lives around their service to Islam’s holy book, with a focus on Egypt’s Quran recitation tradition.

Salama discussed the work and the reciters featured in it, though the brief announcement did not identify individual subjects or detail the stories he shared.
