Islamic Ceramics Museum Reopens in Zamalek After 14-Year Closure

The Islamic Ceramics Museum at Prince Amr Ibrahim Palace in Cairo’s Zamalek district has reopened after 14 years of closure.

The Fine Arts Sector reopened the museum as part of efforts to revive art museums and bring long-closed cultural venues back into use.

The reopening returns Islamic ceramics to the spotlight at a museum dedicated to the art form, while restoring the palace’s role as a setting for its display.

The project marks a new chapter for the Zamalek museum after its prolonged absence from Egypt’s cultural scene. The announcement did not provide details of opening hours or admission arrangements.
