May al-Ibrashi: Al-Khalifa Chosen for Its Diverse Heritage and Urban Fabric

Engineer May al-Ibrashi said the Athar Lina initiative began working in Al-Khalifa district with the aim of preserving its heritage.

Al-Ibrashi, the initiative’s founder, said the district was chosen for the diversity of its heritage features and urban fabric.

She chairs the board of the Urban Thought Association, an organisation specialising in heritage preservation.

Her remarks highlighted the link between Athar Lina’s conservation goals and the varied elements that make up Al-Khalifa’s character.
