No Price Increase for Unsubsidised Bread or Fino, Supply Official Says

Abdel Baset Abdel Moneim, undersecretary at the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, has confirmed that prices for unsubsidised “tourist” bread and fino rolls remain unchanged.

His clarification addressed debate over whether prices for bread sold outside the subsidy system had been raised.

Abdel Moneim said the ministerial directive issued by the supply minister to regulate prices remains in force.

The statement reaffirmed the existing pricing framework for the two bread types, rather than announcing any new price adjustment.
