Khaled El-Shibany and Wael El-Fashny Team Up for Two Poetry Performances

Poet and novelist Khaled El-Shibany has announced his first collaboration with singer and religious chanter Wael El-Fashny, who will perform two of his poems.

The selections come from El-Shibany’s poetry collections “Love and Gunpowder” and “Lights of the Burda,” bringing his verse into a vocal setting.

One of the poems is titled “I Inform You.” The title of the second selection was not provided in the announcement.

The collaboration brings together El-Shibany’s literary work and El-Fashny’s experience in singing and religious chanting. No release date or details of how the performances will be presented were announced.
