Tahwisha Initiative Offers Women Security and Saves Time, Nashwa Mostafa Says

The Tahwisha initiative provides women with greater security and saves them time, according to Nashwa Mostafa, acting national director of the financial inclusion programme at Egypt’s National Council for Women.

Outlining the initiative, Mostafa said its concept grew out of traditional savings practices used by women.

Her explanation placed those existing habits at the heart of Tahwisha’s origins, linking the initiative to familiar ways women set money aside.

Mostafa highlighted security and time savings as key benefits for women, presenting Tahwisha in the context of the council’s financial inclusion work.
