Arab Research Network Aims to Unite Efforts on Food Security

A new Arab network of scientific research centres aims to bring institutions together to address food security challenges through joint work, according to Egypt’s National Research Centre.

Dr Ahmed Gabr, the centre’s vice president for scientific and research affairs, said the network’s launch seeks to unite research centres across the Arab world.

Gabr highlighted cooperation as a central goal of the initiative, linking the network’s regional reach to a shared approach to research.

The initiative places coordinated scientific efforts at the heart of its response to food security challenges, with Arab research institutions working together toward that goal.
