Washington Negotiates With Iran From a Position of Strength, Military Expert Says

The United States is approaching negotiations with Iran from a position of strength, according to Major General Ayman Abdel Mohsen.

Abdel Mohsen, a specialist in strategic and military affairs, linked that assessment to Washington’s rejection of an Iranian proposal.

The proposal sought to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He pointed to the US refusal as an indication of Washington’s negotiating leverage.
