New Book Traces Russia-Africa Relations From Peter the Great to Putin

The Egyptian General Book Organization has published a new book exploring the evolution of relations between Russia and Africa, from the era of Peter the Great to that of Vladimir Putin.

Written by Dr. Hamdy Abdel Rahman Hassan, the book is titled “From Peter the Great to Putin: Russia and Africa—Transformations of a Post-Western World.”

The publication is part of the organization’s “Afriqiyyat” series, which focuses on African affairs.

Its historical scope places Russian-African relations within a longer trajectory, while its subtitle frames the subject around changes in a world moving beyond Western dominance.
