Osama Kamal: Egypt Stands by Arab Allies, Army Guided by Firm Principles

Egyptian broadcaster Osama Kamal said Egypt has never hesitated to support its Arab partners, stressing that the country’s military is guided by a firm doctrine and established principles.

Kamal was commenting on the House of Representatives’ authorization for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to send troops to defend Saudi Arabia.

He framed Egypt’s support for the kingdom as consistent with its longstanding commitment to fellow Arab countries, rather than a departure from that position.

His remarks linked that commitment to the Egyptian army’s principles. The summary of his comments did not provide details on the timing or scope of any potential deployment.
