Egypt and Azerbaijan: Historic Ties and New Prospects for Cultural Cooperation

Dr. Ashraf El-Azazy, secretary-general of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Culture, highlighted the depth of historical and cultural relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan.

His remarks placed the two countries’ longstanding connections at the heart of a discussion of their cultural ties and prospects for further cooperation.

The focus on history underscored the importance of viewing relations between Egypt and Azerbaijan through a cultural lens, alongside their broader bilateral relationship.

El-Azazy’s overview linked that shared historical context to opportunities for closer cultural engagement, drawing attention to both the roots of the relationship and its future potential.
