Egypt ranks fourth regionally in AI skills acquisition, expert says

Egypt ranks fourth in the region in acquiring artificial intelligence skills, according to information technology expert Ahmed El-Sakhawy.

El-Sakhawy said the country is seeing notable progress in artificial intelligence, driven by growing awareness among young people of the importance of modern technologies.

He also pointed to the expansion of training initiatives as a factor supporting that progress and helping develop AI skills.

His assessment highlights youth awareness and wider access to training as drivers of Egypt’s development in the field. The remarks did not specify the regional comparison group or the methodology behind the ranking.
