Palestinian Resilience and Sanctions Can Counter West Bank Displacement Plans, Expert Says

Dr. Murad Harfoush, an expert on Israeli affairs, said Palestinian resilience and sanctions could help counter displacement plans in the West Bank.

Harfoush described an Israeli project in the territory as ongoing and already being implemented, rather than a prospect that has yet to take shape.

He said attempts to confiscate land were a means of advancing that project, which he characterised as aimed at eliminating the Palestinian presence in the West Bank.

His assessment linked the threat of displacement to control over land, placing Palestinians’ ability to remain on their land at the centre of efforts to resist it.

Harfoush also identified sanctions as a possible tool for confronting those plans, alongside Palestinian steadfastness.
