Man Referred to Trial Over Theft From New Cairo Construction Site

New Cairo prosecutors have referred an unemployed man to a misdemeanour court on charges of stealing an electrical cable and construction tools from a building under construction.

The case concerns items allegedly taken from the property and later sold to a scrap dealer.

According to the prosecution’s allegations, the dealer knew the goods were proceeds of theft when buying them.

The referral sends the theft charge against the accused man to court for trial. No verdict or sentence was reported in the case.
