Egyptian Cybercrime Police Arrest Suspect Over Online Drug Sales

Egyptian authorities have arrested a suspect accused of using the internet to trade in a drug described as “powder.”

The General Administration for Combating Information Technology Crimes detected a social media page allegedly managed by the suspect to promote the sale of narcotics.

The administration, part of the Communications Systems and Information Technology Sector, worked in coordination with the Public Security Sector on the case.
