11 arrested over exploitation of nine children for begging in Giza

Police in Giza arrested 11 people accused of exploiting nine children by making them beg and solicit money from passersby.

The arrests were carried out by the General Department of Juvenile Welfare Investigations, part of the Specialized Police Sector.

The suspects include seven men and four women. Eight of those arrested had prior criminal information on police records.

The allegations concern the adults’ exploitation of minors in begging activities. No further details were provided about the children’s ages or the circumstances in which they were found.
