Suspect in Menoufia Worker’s Killing Says He Only Meant to Frighten Him

A worker was killed in the village of Al-May, in the Shebin El-Kom district of Menoufia governorate, after a financial dispute over 600 Egyptian pounds.

The suspect, an unemployed man, fired a shot from a hunting gun at the worker following disagreements between the two over the money.

The suspect denied intending to kill the worker, saying: “I didn’t mean to kill him. I was only trying to scare him.”
