Cairo Economic Court to Hear TikToker Batta Diaa’s Appeal on Tuesday

The Cairo Economic Appeals Court is scheduled to hear TikToker Batta Diaa’s appeal on Tuesday against a six-month prison sentence and a fine of EGP 100,000.

The hearing will be the first session in her appeal against the ruling, which concerns accusations that she broadcast videos deemed indecent.

Diaa is challenging the sentence and financial penalty imposed in the case. The appeal brings the ruling before the economic court’s appellate panel for review.
